It`s ONI time again.  And, with ONI season you can bet the tears will flow.  Only joking.  Oni is introduced in a very friendly manner so that we can all enjoy and have a bit of fun throwing the beans and warning off the evil spirit.

With this activity there are a number of things to remember if you want the Oni to disappear.  Instead of saying, “Oni wa soto”, we encourage the kids to sing out “Go away, Oni. “  Other phases listened to and taught include, “Beans Please”, “Throw the beans.”  Every year is a lot of fun, and we try our very best not to have any tears.  This year no tears….. yet!!!!
